| Materials
The materials we use are always an
important part of every job and Primary Painting uses only
the best materials available.
Every job has special needs and our
particular climate requires materials that will achieve the
desired results when up against the elements.
Long-term durability is of the utmost
importance to us when choosing paints because we want our
jobs to last.
Here are some examples of the products
we use:
Primers:
For both interior and exterior jobs, Primary Painting uses
both Acrylic and Oil based premium primers.
They are specially designed to act as sealant and have a built
stain killer that inhibits future mildew growth and absorbs
and locks in any tough stains caused by water, spray paint,
markers or smoke and grit.
These versatile primers also provide excellent corrosion resistance
on metal an alkali resistance on concrete.
We often tint our primers for dark or brightly colored paint
jobs for a nicer finish.
Finishes:
We use a wide variety of finishes for our jobs, form
Oil to Latex or Acrylic finishes and in all sheens.
We use the highest quality finishes for excellent color retention,
adhesion and that will resist blistering and cracking.
Latex paint designed for low temperatures is ideal for San
Francisco's ever changing weather because it sets and dries
quickly.
Oil based paints are excellent for bare wood and restoration
projects.
We also use various Elastomeric paints and patching
compounds that give excellent strength and flexibility.
They are designed to expand and recover in a wide range of
surface temperatures without film failure and can provide
excellent coverage over damages surfaces.
