Aloha from Hawaii! |

View to the east off my balcony
One of the many beaches on Oahu. With so many beautiful beaches to choose from, it is easy to find that you have the beach all to yourself!
Another beach. Note the crowds.
A telephoto shot I took of some surfers on the north shore. Waves were around 20 feet that day. Most of the island is surrounded by coral reef, which means that the waves usually do not reach the shore, but instead crash on the reef.

The view to the west
Another beach, this one on the north shore. Some hevy surf was rolling in this day.
Big surf on the north shore. That spray is shooting up at least 25 feet.
Center view from inside my bedroom. The back wall is just sliding glass doors, and the view in all directions is ocean! The dark blue line near the horizon is where the waves are breaking on the reef. It is shallow enough to walk all the way out there. The many coconut trees in the back yard are always swaying to the steady breeze off the water. |
